“These parties are not interested in any cause at all but in positioning themselves in the media”says Romano, who says that he was part of the Discord platform server where the idea of the march originated. In an interview, the 28-year-old says that, intrigued by the excessive use of artificial intelligence, he accessed the Discord server and upon reviewing the metadata of the manifesto, that is, document information such as its creation date and author, found that it had been created by the company Monetiq Agencia in Zapopan, Jalisco, whose address coincided with that of former PRI deputy José Alfredo Femat Flores.
The links with traditional politics influenced the decision of Ajax, Amanda and Luna not to march this November 15. “It is not revolutionary to march with your oppressors”they say. Ajax also fears for the safety of attendees in the event of possible acts of violence.

Despite this panorama, a sector of youth has made clear its intention to mobilize this Saturdaylike Vicente Reyes, a 24-year-old young man who believes that “beyond the clash between left and right,” he will march being non-partisan.
“I am old enough to inform myself and speak out against what I don’t think about the government, and problems such as the shortage of medicines concern me”. Vicente adds that “he hopes it will be a peaceful march, but he wouldn’t be surprised to see some disturbance.”

The debate around the Generation Z March advances between suspicions, aspirations and disappointments. Amanda Romano believes that youth have the capacity to articulate a greater protest, but warns that differences in thought can make it difficult to reconcile common interests.
