Maxwell endured a disappointing IPL season, featuring in only seven matches and scoring just 48 runs while taking four wickets before a finger injury ruled him out of the tournament. He was later replaced by fellow Australian Mitchell Owen.
Hardie, who was signed for ?1.25 crore, did not feature in any match for the franchise and is among the names released before the December 16 auction in Abu Dhabi, according to an IPL source.
Inglis, acquired for Rs 2.60 crore during the 2025 mega auction as a replacement for the injured Marcus Stoinis, made his Punjab Kings debut this season against KKR. In 11 IPL appearances, he scored 278 runs at an average of 30.89 and a strike rate of 162.57.
Right-arm pacer Kuldeep Sen and wicketkeeper-batter Vishnu Vinod, both part of the PBKS squad that finished runners-up after losing to Royal Challengers Bengaluru, did not play a single match in the 2025 season. Sen, signed for ?80 lakh, failed to break into the playing XI, while Vinod, who joined the franchise last season, last featured in the IPL back in 2023 with the Mumbai Indians.
All other players in the team have been retained by PPKS.
