If there is a film that is a classic—and the undisputed top 5 of Disney classics—it is precisely the story of the Brothers Grimm, Sleeping Beautywhich was brought to the big screen in 1959, and which, inexplicably, has not yet received its version in the flesh.

But that would be about to change, since according to several entertainment pages, the mouse company would be preparing a reinterpretation (we are already afraid of that word) of the film, which would be set in Mexico, taking advantage of the similarity of our country with the German Black Forest, which is where the story originally takes place.
Although so far there is no further news about what the new version will be about and, above all, who will play “Aurora” (nor the prince Jelipe), it was already rumored that Scarlett Johansson would be perfect for the role of the princess on whom Maleficent’s curse falls, so we can almost assume that it won’t be her.

So far, Disney has neither confirmed nor denied the existence of the “Aurora” project, although it has been rumored for some time that both this story and that of Tangled (Rapunzel) would be his next live action bets.
