The authorities seek to determine whether the reported events are isolated or part of a systematic pattern of abuses, as well as to identify those responsible and those who have knowledge or participation.
Mexico City, November 4 (However).- The Attorney General’s Office of Mexico City (FGJ-CdMx) investigate possible cases of rape aggravated y exploitation labor to the detriment of girls y teenagers who were under the protection of the Casa de las Mercedes Foundation.
As part of the proceedings, ministerial agents searched the two headquarters of the Foundationwhere they secured computer equipment and documentation with the objective of locating files of minors and personnel linked to the institution.



“Searches were carried out at the two headquarters of the Foundation, where computer equipment and documentation were secured, with the aim of locating the files of the girls, adolescents and personnel who have been linked to the institution over the years,” reported the FGJ-CdMx in a statement.
The authorities will also conduct investigative interviews with the relocated girls and adolescents, under specialized protocols and psychological support, to collect their testimonies in safe conditions, in order to determine whether the reported events are isolated cases or part of a systematic pattern of abuse.




“The investigation plan contemplates the application of the investigative interview procedure to all relocated girls and adolescents, in safe conditions and with psychological support, in order to collect their testimonies in a careful and specialized manner. These interviews will allow us to establish whether the reported events correspond to isolated cases or a possible pattern of abuse,” the capital agency detailed.
In turn, the Prosecutor’s Office seeks to identify those likely responsible, as well as people who have knowledge of or participation in the events, without excluding anyone from the scope of the investigation.
