TIZIMÍN, Yucatán.- Last night, Monday, a search operation was carried out in the town of Kikil, after an elderly adult was reported missing.
The information collected indicates that Ismael OL, 70 years old, left his home yesterday morning to cut firewood and wood on a ranch he owned, but did not return home.
The septuagenarian was accompanied by two other people, however, at some point he lost sight of his companions.
State and municipal police quickly mobilized to begin searching the area.
After several hours of searching, a rescue team managed to locate the elderly adult in a tree half a kilometer north of the ranch. He was evaluated by paramedics and diagnosed with mild dehydration.
Thanks to the quick action of the authorities and the collaboration of the locals, the older adult was rescued safe and sound and taken to his home, where his relatives took charge of his care.
He was later taken to the hospital for additional medical care.
