Steven Knight is unstoppable: only in the last two years, the creator of Peaky Blinders signed the excellent series This Town (which arrived us through the TVCine channels), The veil (Disney+), with Elisabeth Moss, the original argument of MariaPablo Larraín’s film about Maria Callas, and a thousand blows (Disney+), another series set in Victorian London, with a second season debut in 2026. Keeping several projects in production, is now also the creator of A Casa GuinnessNetflix’s new release, which follows the adventure of Benjamin Guinness’s descendantsgrandson of the founder of Guinness brewery and responsible for the internationalization of the brand.
In line with SuccessionThis is the story of one of Ireland’s richest families, who after the death of the patriarch in 1868 has to manage his “sin” empire in a politically tumultuous country. The four heirs of Benjamin (three men and one woman) are then in arms with an incendiary dublin, armed with hidden plans, whispered conversations and family secrets, which, over eight pop soul episodes, looks much more the nerve of action, the stylized narrative, than faithfulness to facts – by the way, House of Guinness It does not even intend to be a true base drama; self-title “fiction inspired by facts”.
