On Thursday morning, an armed confrontation took place between armed civilians and elements of the Secretariat of the Navy-Navy of Mexico (Semar) which left one person dead and another injured in the sector Bugambiliassouth of Airport International of Culiacán, Sinaloa.

According to the first reports, the events occurred around 10:00 hours, on Manantial de la Ciénega street, between Ramón López Velarde and Tenochtitlánin the fractionation Spring Villas, when an armed group crossed paths with naval personnel carrying out patrols in the area.
After the exchange of shots, one of the alleged attackers died at the scene, apparently while trying to hide among the homes in the area.
Another of the men was injured while trying to flee aboard a vehicle, which was abandoned with multiple gunshot wounds to the bodywork and windows.
The injured person was identified as José Raúl N, 24 years oldalthough no further data was provided.
Another white vehicle, a recent model, was also seized at the site, which had several bullet holes and in which the person who lost his life during the shooting was allegedly traveling.

After the confrontation, several subjects managed to escape between the houses and roofs, so a search operation was implemented by corporations from the three levels of Governmentwith no arrests reported so far.
