Weather TODAY: Temperatures from 0 to -5 degrees and “North” event for these states this Thursday

The National Meteorological Service predicts for today, Thursday, October 30, 2025, that cold front number 11 will extend over the Yucatan Peninsulacausing heavy occasional rains in Oaxaca, Chiapas, Veracruz, Tabasco and Campeche; showers in Puebla and Veracruz; and isolated rains in Puebla and in areas of Yucatán and Quintana Roo.

The polar air mass that drives the frontal system will keep temperatures low over the north, center, south and east of the country; with the presence of frost in the states of the Mesa del Norte and the Mesa Central.

Likewise, the “North” event will prevail with wind gusts of 70 to 90 km/h in Oaxaca and Chiapas (isthmus and gulf of Tehuantepec)and gusts of 50 to 60 km/h on the coasts of Tamaulipas, Veracruz, Tabasco, Campeche, Yucatán and Quintana Roo; In addition, waves of 3.0 to 4.0 meters high are expected in the Gulf of Tehuantepec.

On the other hand, the humid air of the Pacific Ocean will cause intervals of showers in Nayarit, Jalisco, Colima, Michoacán and Guerrero; and isolated rains in areas of the State of Mexico, Sinaloa and Durango.

This is the rain forecast for today, October 30, 2025:

• Showers with occasional heavy rains (25 to 50 mm): Oaxaca (east), Chiapas (north), Veracruz (Olmeca region), Tabasco (north, east and west) and Campeche (west).
• Shower intervals (5 to 25 mm): Nayarit, Jalisco, Colima, Michoacán, Puebla (Tehuacán-Sierra Negra region), Veracruz (Capital, Las Montañas and Los Tuxtlas regions); and Guerrero.
• Isolated rain (0.1 to 5 mm): Sinaloa, Durango, State of Mexico, Puebla (Serdán Valley region), Yucatán and Quintana Roo.

• Minimum temperatures from – 5 to 0 °C: high areas of Chihuahua, Durango, Zacatecas, Hidalgo, State of Mexico, Tlaxcala, Puebla and Veracruz.
• Minimum temperatures from 0 to 5 °C: mountain areas of Baja California, Sonora, Coahuila, Nuevo León, San Luis Potosí, Aguascalientes, Jalisco, Michoacán, Guanajuato, Querétaro, Morelos, Mexico City and Oaxaca.
