When the sun sets and the lights of Teatro da Trindade illuminate the facade, the reflection of warm tones falls on the blue building that houses the new Lisbon Chiado Hotel & Spa. Dusk is synonymous with a change of pace in this sophisticated neighborhood of the capital. At night, the city’s comings and goings slow down to give way to lively conversations on the many terraces around the new accommodation.
In the rooms, however, there is total silence. Only by opening the windows and crossing the balcony can you see the excitement that takes over the surroundings. With a five-star rating, it was created to be an exclusive refuge in one of the most vibrant neighborhoods in the capital.

It was up to architect Pilar Paiva de Sousa to transport the old commercial and office building to the present without distorting its traditional design. The company Época fulfilled the architect’s vision regarding furniture that follows a classic and sophisticated line. In a small multipurpose room, which can be used for both working and relaxing, a tile panel once located outside now adorns one of the walls.
