The program ANDA Discover Portugala Movy initiative that offers train passes and free stays in Youth Hostels to young people between 18 and 30 years old, ran out of intrarail vouchers in a few weeks. With 30,000 passes distributed, the ANDA Christmas Special now puts another 7,500 vouchers into circulation which offer six nights of accommodation in the Youth Hostels of Mainland Portugal.
Aimed “to promote and reinforce opportunities for youth mobility in the country”, the initiative includes two sets of vouchers: 5,000 reserved for youth and student associations registered in the National Register of Young Associations (RNAJ), with the possibility of group reservations, and 2,500 aimed at young audiences in general, Movy said in a statement.
This is a different model from the initial program, as train travel is not included. Applications are open until December 31st and are made using the Digital Mobile Key at platform. Vouchers, received via email, are valid for one year.
“This special edition comes as a response to the high demand and strong enthusiasm of young people and youth organizations for this program, thus ensuring that more young people aged 18 to 30 have the opportunity to live new experiences and explore their country in an accessible and sustainable way”, reads the statement.
