Presidential candidate António José Seguro is ill and the debate he had this Thursday with João Cotrim Figueiredo had to be postponed. “In the early afternoon, I informed João Cotrim Figueiredo, with whom I would debate tonight on RTP1, that the health conditions I am in prevent me from leaving home”, says Seguro in a message released by his candidacy.
“On medical advice, and with great regret, I will have to remain at home, subject to absolute bed rest.until he is authorized to resume planned activities”, continues the presidential candidate and former socialist leader, who explains that he was already experiencing symptoms at the beginning of the week, but it worsened due to his visit to the Azores: “Despite already having a cough at the beginning of the week, I decided to travel to the Azores and fulfill the program I had long defined. I did so with great effort, which worsened my health condition.”
Still according to the same message “theThe two candidates will now try, together with RTP, to find a date that will allow the debate with João Cotrim Figueiredo to be held in December”.
António José Seguro has only had one debate: the one-on-one with Ventura, the first of 28 debates for the presidential elections.
