A technical failure at Cloudflare, a North American infrastructure multinational web and cybersecurity, this Tuesday left several sites and platforms with malfunctions. The company confirmed that it is investigating an incident that affects multiple customers, including some of the largest technology companies in the world.
According to “The Country”, the first failures began to be detected at around 12:30 pm (Spanish time), reaching a peak at 1 pm. Among the services that suffered the impact of these failures were X (formerly Twitter), Canva, ChatGPT, League of Legends, Grindr and banking platforms such as the Spanish CaixaBank. At 1:15 pm, many sites have begun to recover, although the company warned of possible residual errors as it works to resolve the issue.
According to “Eco newspaper“, several media outlets – including Eco, Lusa, Observador and Diário de Notícias – faced interruptions or intermittent performance. The Omny Studio platform, which hosts and distributes the Impresa group’s podcasts, is also down, preventing access to the group’s audio programs.
Cloudflare has identified “widespread bug 500s” and flaws in the dashboard and API (application programming interface), ensuring it is assessing the full impact and mitigating the flaw.
