Our Staff

Our directors and teachers are certified through the Department of Early Education and Care and are required to hold a bachelor’s and are highly encouraged to complete a master’s degree. The teachers are experienced in guiding children through fun, hands-on learning experiences while supporting them through transitions as they grow.

Mrs.  Nicole Caldwell

Nicole Caldwell, affectionately known as Ms. Nicki, graduated from Eastern Nazarene College in 1992 with a BS in Elementary Education and a minor in Psychology. She also received her Master’s in Special Education in 2018 from ENC. Ms. Nicki spent six years teaching 2nd grade, as well as, coaching soccer, basketball, and softball high school sports. During the summers she directed an Exceptional Program for Special Needs children. Following that time, she was blessed to take ten years off while she raised her four wonderful children; Samantha, Jessica, Ashley, and Nathan. She became the CKH Director in 2010. Ms. Nicki has lived in Quincy with her husband, Kipp (ENC class of 93), since 1994. In Nicki’s spare time she enjoys spending time with her friends, family, and her dog Rocco, being outdoors, loves animals, watching her children play sports and cheering for NE sports teams!

Teacher of Kindergarten/ Kindergarten Prep– Sea Buddies Class
Ms. Steph Andrews
Ms. Steph worked at Campus Kinder Haus as a student assistant, in the classroom and the office, while she attended Eastern Nazarene College. Ms. Steph began teaching at Campus Kinder Haus in the fall of 2008. She has a Bachelor of Arts degrees in early childhood education and in music from Eastern Nazarene College. She also received her Master’s in business administration from ENC in 2016. She was awarded the Outstanding Senior Award in early childhood education in 2008 from ENC. Ms. Steph enjoys reading books, singing, and dancing with the children. In her free time she likes to watch football (go Eagles and Penn State!), relax at the beach and explore Boston.

 

Teacher of Kindergarten Prep- Penguin Class
Ms.  Kerri Kosilla
Ms. Kerri first began working at CKH as an assistant teacher in 2006. She earned a master’s degree in early childhood education from Eastern Nazarene College in May 2008. Ms. Kerri lives in Quincy with her husband and two children (Daniel and Bridget). Ms. Kerri enjoys playing outside with the children and working on art projects. In her spare time, she loves to visit her family and read.

 

Teacher of 4 Year Olds- Butterflies Class
Ms. Beth Guzak

Ms. Beth worked at CKH from 2001-2006. After moving out of state for a while, she is thrilled to be rejoining the CKH family. Beth feels privileged to work in the field of Early Childhood Education. In 1998 she interned at the Wellesley College Child Study Center, which set her on the wonderful journey of realizing the importance of creating an enriching, vibrant, and fun classroom. She has been teaching in the field ever since and has a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood from ENC.   In her free time, she loves walking the beach and spending time with her fiancé.

 

Teacher of 4 Year Olds- Farm Friends Class
Ms. Kyera Bryant

Ms. Key just finished her fourth year at Eastern Nazarene College and is excited to be teaching at CKH this year! Key is originally from Connecticut and comes from a large family of 10. She also is the Assistant Coach for the ENC’s Women’s Soccer team and is a worship leader at Lighthouse Fellowship Church in Quincy. Ms. Key also has a passion for missions and loves to travel every opportunity she can.

 

 

Teacher of 4 Year Olds- Owl Class
Ms. Marissa Balsamo
Ms. Marissa is so excited to be teaching at CKH! She is from Braintree and graduated from Bridgewater State with an Education and English degree. Some of her favorite hobbies include traveling, playing sports, and spending time with her family.

 

Teacher of 3-4 Year Olds- Frog Class
Ms. Shannon Pecora
Ms. Shannon recently graduated with her Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Eastern Nazarene College. Throughout her years at ENC she worked at CKH as a Teacher’s Aid. She has also had the opportunity to work at Next Generation Children’s Center in Westford and teach as the Summer Enrichment Program Teacher for ACCESS in Boston. In addition to teaching, for the past two years she has been a waitress at a small diner on the weekends. She has learned a lot from her experiences and education, and is so excited to be teaching at CKH!

Teacher of 3 Year Olds – Duck Class
Ms.  Mary Connell

Ms. Mary is a born and raised Quincy Resident, whom also graduating from Eastern Nazarene College this past May with her bachelors in the Liberal Arts. She has worked in the Early Education field since she was a junior at North Quincy High School ultimately receiving her own classroom after all her hours of being a teacher’s helper. When she is not in the classroom she loves to be with her family especially her nieces Sadie and Lily, reading a good book, walking and going to the beach, and making cakes.

 

Teacher of 3 Year Olds – Bear Class
Ms.  Julie Flood
Ms. Julie is an Eastern Nazarene College graduate who began teaching at Campus Kinder Haus in 2005. She holds both a B.A. and a M. Ed., and is certified in elementary education. Her years of prior teaching experience span from the high school level all the way down to preschool (her favorite by far). Ms. Julie loves teaching the children in her class! In her spare time, Ms. Julie enjoys reading, participating in triathlons, listening to music, and traveling.

 

Office Manager
Ms. Britney Jayne

Ms. Britney worked at CKH as a teacher’s aide and is now our office manager! Britney is from Maine and has her Master’s in Public Health and Nutrition from Liberty University. Her husband Matt was born and raised in Quincy and they both have a heart for this community. Once she moved to Quincy in 2015, she fell in love with working with children and feels so blessed to be a part of the CKH family. In her free time, she enjoys mountain biking, hiking, and being in Maine with her family.

 

Floating Teacher
Mr. Nathan Sawtelle

Nathan Sawtelle has returned to CKH! After 15 years away Nathan and his family moved back to Quincy in 2016. His wife Andrea is the Youth Pastor at the Wollaston Nazarene Church as well as an adjunct professor at ENC. Mr. Nate has spent 10 years teaching Elementary School and 2 years working with English Language Learners in grades K-12. Nathan and Andrea have an adorable boy named Biruk that they adopted from Ethiopia in 2013 and a beautiful little girl Madhavi that they adopted from India in 2017.

Floating Teacher
Ms. Sharon Salah

Ms. Sharon just joined CKH as a part time floater teacher in the fall of 2018. She earned her B.A. degree with a concentration in communication disorders from Bridgewater State University in 1995. She worked as an assistant to audiologists and speech pathologists in a rehab hospital and in an ENT physician’s office before taking time off to raise her 4 children. In what little spare time there is, she enjoys reading, attending sporting events, and just about anything that involves spending time with her family.

 

Floating Teacher
Ms. Anne Patch

Ms. Patch graduated from Eastern Nazarene College with a B.S. in elementary education and an M.ED in early childhood. Ms. Patch has southern roots, where she developed her passions for horseback riding, cooking, and gardening. After being at CKH for 25 years as a teacher and 2 years as a co-director, she retired. But her love of children and teaching brought her back to CKH as a floating teacher. She lives in Pembroke with her husband Brad, and have 3 children and 7 grandchildren.

Ms. Lainie Block
Ms. Lainie graduated from Eastern Nazarene College in 2017 with her Bachelors in Early Childhood Education. She is thrilled to be back as the Graduate Assistant with the opportunity to pursue her Master’s degree in Moderate Special Education. Post-graduation, Ms. Lainie was a long-term substitute for a literacy specialist at West Elementary in Plymouth as well as a summer camp teacher here at CKH. When she is not singing songs around the school, she can be found in Pembroke with her family and new dog, Mayzie, walking the trails of Silver Lake and making lots of home cooked meals.

 

Eastern Nazarene College GA
Ms. McKenna Kern

Ms. Kenna graduated from Eastern Nazarene College in 2018 with a Bachelors in Liberal Arts. She is currently working on her Masters of Education from ENC as a graduate assistant at CKH. Post-graduation, Ms. Kenna traveled to Kenya for the month of May and spend the summer and fall working at a church in Gaithersburg, Maryland.  It was such a formational and special time, but she is thrilled God called her back to her favorite place on earth- ENC. Some of Kenna’s favorite things are spending time with her friends and family, singing, eating ice cream, and having fun!
