MEXICO CITY.- The Tormenta Tropical Melissa changed its trajectory again, which seems to move it away from Central Americaindicated the most recent weather report.
Hurricane Hunters National Office of Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA, for its acronym in English) reported that the center of Melissa has been renovated a little towards the north.

According to the NOAATropical Storm Melissa is “moving north-northwest with little change in intensity.”
“Heavy rain and life-threatening flooding, as well as possible strong winds, are expected in parts of Hispaniola and Jamaica over the weekend“Details the 5:00 p.m. report.
He National Weather System (SMN) located Melissa 330 km south-southeast of Kingston, Jamaica and 1,330 km east-southeast of Punta Herrero, Quintana Roo, and moving north-northwest at 4 km/h at the 15:00 pm report.
Minutes before 19:00 pm the current location would be 258 km away from Kingston, Jamaica.

According to the platform Zoom EarthMelissa is located within the so-called “cone of uncertainty.”
Previously, experts noted that there is unusual uncertainty about the direction of the tropical storm and the intensity it could reach.
Will Melissa become a major hurricane?
Meteorological authorities indicated that the Melissa’s intensity forecast was “more uncertain than usual,” due largely to the uncertainty surrounding its trajectory.
Current projections suggest that it would intensify to a Category 1 Hurricane on October 25th and to category 3 around midnight on the 26th.
Between Sunday afternoon and On Monday, October 27, it is expected to intensify again, reaching category 4.
The current trajectory does not contemplate landfallbut it is located a short distance from Jamaica.


They remain on alert Jamaica, Haiti – where the death of a man and five people injured due to the effects of the storm were reported – and Hispaniola in it Caribbean Sea.
