With a discussion between speakers, company representatives and directors of the Banking and Commercial School (EBC) started tonight sixth National Congress of Human Capital at the Mérida Campus from this private university.

At this meeting, preceded by a welcome cocktail led by the teacher Enrique Luis Lira Arredondo, director of the EBC Méridathe participants highlighted the training of professionals demanded by the numerous companies that have links with this specialized private university and the detection and retention of new talents adapted to new global technological trends.

Lira Arredondo He highlighted that it is the first time that this congress is held outside the center of the country and comes to Mérida, so it is an honor that prominent speakers and business representatives participate in this event.

“This higher education institution is very long-standing (it has 96 years foundation) and was born from the hand of companies, so we continue to be faithful to this legacy,” he noted.

“We train young people who in the future will be part of your team in companies. We train human capital for the present, which is today, by listening to the needs, therefore we are a super innovative institution.”

He reported that the EBC has 14 campus, a school population of more than 11,000 active young people and 3,000 of them are already active in companies through their professional practices and social service.

EBC activities in Mérida

The speaker Tello Méndez, who will have the main keynote conference tomorrow Wednesday with the theme “Seedbeds of talent for the future”, with work styles of Generation Z, Millenials, Gen X and Boomers, spoke about the human resources model what he proposes Great World which has benefits and points towards how leaders can generate environments of high trust in companies.

“I am convinced that there will undoubtedly be many fruits of this congress and we are ready to add to it,” he said.

In his speech, Marisol Eustaquio Hernandeznational head of Business Liaison of the EBC Rectorate, stated that this institution is very committed to the academic experience and therefore they have to continue meeting the needs of the companies that are friends of the university.

“The fact that we are so close to you helps us improve our study plans every day so that we truly train professionals that the business sector needs,” he noted. “We are very grateful for your help with this work.”

He highlighted that since its founding in 1929 they have graduated 65,000 professionals and today they have 14 campuses. Many of the graduates led and lead important firms and companies, therefore, they intend that the talent that emanates from the EBC continue to be placed in the best companies.

He reported that many will come company representatives to the congress and will also follow it virtually at the 14 EBC headquarters in the country.
