Puebla, November 26 (AmbasManos).- They have already arrested Gabriel “N”alias “The Tattoo”identified as responsible for the attack on bar Lacosslocated south of the city of Puebla, where seven people died in the middle of a armed attack and a fire.
His capture occurred during a joint operation between the Secretary of Public Security (SSP) of the Statethe State Attorney General’s Office (FGE), Defense, the National Guard (GN) and the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC).
The head of the SSP, Vice Admiral Francisco Sánchez, had already recently announced – in the conference of Governor Alejandro Armenta – that they had fully identified the intellectual and material author of the crime.
He pointed out that witnesses had given enough information to locate him and that it was only a matter of time to catch him.
Today it is known that this subject was “El Tato”, allegedly linked to the sale of drugs in different bars in the capital.
Sources revealed to this medium that they arrested him in the Lomas 5 de Mayo neighborhood in the city of Puebla.
The same sources detailed that this subject works with Colombians and Venezuelans.
He was transferred to the C5 Metropolitan Public Security Complex and will subsequently be at the disposal of the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE).
What happened at the Lacoss bar?
The Lacoss bar, with more than thirty years in the southern area of Puebla, was about to celebrate its 31st anniversary on December 5.
Instead, the early morning of November 18 became the scene of a tragedy: seven people lost their lives after a commando entered, shot, doused gasoline, and set fire to the establishment.
The site had already been investigated in 2023 for human trafficking and only on October 30 of this year it recorded another violent incident.
Even so, it continued to operate because it currently had a license.
At first it was confirmed death of five people; Later, relatives identified one more. Finally, on November 19, the death of José Miguel Santiago Aguilar, who was admitted to the General Hospital of the North, was reported.
Among the deceased is Karem, a Cuban dancer known as “Elianis” or “China.” According to authorities, his immigration status was regular.
This day, the Prosecutor’s Office had planned a video call with an aunt who lives in Spain to identify the body, because her mother cannot leave her country and does not have the resources. He left a two and a half year old child orphaned.
Another of the victims is Carmen Hortensia, also a dancer. She had no presence on social networks and for several hours remained unknown. It is estimated that he was around 20 years old.
The waiter José de Jesús Palestino López, known as Roy, was 43 years old. He was well known in the nightlife scene and fellow members of the union fired him online. They said that he had previously been a captain in the Axwell joint. He was laid to rest in the San Antonio Abad neighborhood.
Gerardo Hernández, a man over 60 years old, also died. His wife said that he returned to work because they needed money and he couldn’t find a job due to his age. That day he worked at night because he had no other option.
Another death is that of José Luis Gómez, “Wicho”, DJ that night. He lived in Bosques de San Sebastián. His last connection on WhatsApp was at 3:39 in the morning, which gave hope to his friends, but hours later his death was confirmed.
Carlos Ata worked as a bouncer. Those who knew him said that he had recently resumed security duties at clubs, although he had a seafood business.

The seventh victim was José Miguel Santiago Aguilar, who died in the hospital a day later due to the burns and injuries he suffered.
At the time, Secretary Francisco Sánchez reported that the main lines of investigation point to drug dealing and extortion as motives for the crime.
With the arrest of “El Tato”, the authorities hope to make progress in fully clarifying the case and finding the rest of those involved.
