MÉRIDA.- With the participation of dozens of girls and boys, including minors Otoch House as guests of honor, State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) celebrated one of the most anticipated traditions of the year: the lighting of the institutional Christmas tree.

With a festive atmosphere, smiles, applause and contagious energy, the children were the protagonists who brought the magic of this celebration to life.

The Attorney General, Juan Manuel León Leónthanked the teacher Wendy Meal Naalhonorary president of the state DIF system for the opportunity for the girls and boys of the Center to participate.

He also thanked the presence of Walter Mena Gonzálezdirector of Center Social Assistance for Girls, Boys and Adolescents of Yucatán (Otoch House).

The magic of Christmas arrived at the Yucatán Prosecutor’s Office

This celebration, he said, is part of the human vision that is promoted within the institution: a close, sensitive and open Prosecutor’s Office to build bridges with society.

The FGE not only investigates and seeks justice; It also builds community. And this Christmas spirit reminds us that public service is, above all, an act of closeness and coexistence.”.

From the first minute, the Prosecutor’s Office esplanade became a meeting point for hundreds of people, including workers, families and citizens, who came to share a space of hope and unity.

The emotion was shared by attendees of all ages, but especially among the children of Casa Otoch and the children of public officials who saw with amazement and joy the lighting of thousands of lights in front of them.

The State lawyer reiterated that these actions, although symbolic, reflect a real commitment: to work for a safer, more supportive and humane Yucatan.

The lighting of the tree marked the beginning of the FGE’s Christmas activities, which, year after year, seeks to strengthen the ties that unite its staff and citizens, always putting human dignity and the well-being of Yucatecan families at the center.
