Claudia Sheinbaum shared a photo of the meeting with the next president of the Business Coordinating Council, José Medina Mora Icaza, but revealed the details of the meeting.
Mexico City, November 8 (However).- The President of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardoreceived on Monday at the National Palace José Medina Mora Icazawho as of Wednesday, December 10, will be the new president of the Business Coordinating Council (CCE).
Through a publication on her X account, the federal president shared a Photo of the José Medina Mora Icaza meeting, but did not disclose the meeting details with whom he was appointed in November of this year as a representative of the business organization.
Icaza was the only candidate who registered to succeed the constitutional period of Francisco Alberto Cervantes Díaz as president of the Business Coordinating Council, the result of which was revealed on November 14, before beginning the period for submitting proposals among the organizations that make up the CCE.

The businessman is founder and president of the Board of Directors of CompuSoluciones and National President of the Employers’ Confederation of the Mexican Republic (Coparmex) and served as president of the latter organization from 2021 to December 2024.
The president of the CCE graduated in Civil Engineering from the Universidad Iberoamericana; He has two master’s degrees and a professional doctorate from Stanford University, as well as a master’s degree from the Universidad Panamericana, Guadalajara campus. In 2007 the magazine Expansion placed him among the 100 most important businessmen in Mexico.
Furthermore, Icaza is the brother of Eduardo Medina Mora Icazaretired Minister of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation (SCJN) who resigned from his position in 2019, during the six-year term of Andrés Manuel López Obrador, after allegations of corruption. He was also Secretary of Public Security in the Administration of Vicente Fox Quesada and Attorney General of the Republic during the Government of Felipe Calderón Hinojosa.
