Mexico City, November 25 (However).- Today, Tuesday, different feminist groups are planning a march for him 25N in Mexico City (CdMx), that is, by International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. Here we tell you what is the ruta of the demonstration and what are the streets that will be closed.
The march of 25N Its purpose is to prevent and eliminate violence against women and girls throughout the world, since this situation, recognized by the United Nations Organization (HIM), is one of the most widespread and persistent human rights violations today.
In this framework, one of the feminist groups indicated that the mobilization will begin at the Glorieta de las Mujeres que Luchan, located on Paseo de la Reforma, so the call was launched to begin at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Another contingent plans to advance at 4:00 p.m. from the Palace of Justice. One more group established an appointment at 1:00 p.m. in the Zócalo, and another group will leave from the Ángel de la Independendia to go to the Plaza Mayor.

It is planned that the march will begin at Paseo de la Reforma and then turn at Glorieta del Caballito to head to Juárez Avenue, until it crosses the Lázaro Cárdenas Central Axis and then joins 5 de Mayo Avenue, until reaching the capital’s Zócalo.
Given the above, the roads that will remain closed are:
- Lázaro Cárdenas Central Axis.
- Juarez Avenue.
- Paseo de la Reforma Avenue.
- Constitution Square.
- May 5 Avenue.
According to the Declaration on the Elimination of Violence against Women, issued by the UN, violence against women is “any act of violence that results or may result in physical, sexual or psychological harm or suffering to women.”

In 2021, the National Survey on the Dynamics of Relationships in Households 2016 (ENDIREH), from the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI), concluded that 66 out of every 100 women aged 15 years or older living in the country have suffered at least one incident of violence of any type throughout their lives.
Likewise, 43.9 percent of women have suffered violence from their current or last partner throughout their relationship, while 53.1 percent have suffered at least one incident of violence from aggressors other than their partner throughout their lives.
In addition to the above, the 2020 National State Justice Prosecution Census, also from INEGI, revealed that within the total crimes against women registered from 2010 to 2018, the main crime incidence is concentrated in those offenses related to sexual abuse (42.6 percent) and rape (37.8 percent).
