Netflix has lined up a massive slate of releases for December 2025, featuring long-awaited finales, new films, fresh seasons of popular series, and a wide mix of holiday specials, dramas, documentaries, and international titles. The month’s schedule is designed to keep audiences engaged through Christmas and New Year, with major premieres landing on December 1, December 25, and December 31.

December 1 kicks off with a heavy batch of additions. New episodes of CoComelon Lane: Season 6 and My Next Guest with David Letterman and Adam Sandler arrive along with the debut of Love is Blind: Italy. A long list of classic films will also hit the platform, including A League of Their Own, As Good as It Gets, Bad Teacherboth Big Momma’s House movies, Burlesque, Cheaper by the Dozen and its sequel, Christmas Break-In, Downton Abbey, Godzilla titles, Hollow Man, Joy for Christmasthe If Fu Panda trilogy, Little Women, Pulp Fiction, Stripes, The Ugly Truth, What Lies Beneath, The Wolf of Wall Streetand Zero Dark Thirty. The acclaimed period drama Victoria (Seasons 1–3), charting the early reign of Queen Victoria, also joins the library.

On December 2Netflix rolls out Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches: Season 2 and Matt Rife’s new holiday-themed comedy special, Unwrapped – A Christmas Crowd Work Special.
December 3 brings the festive rom-com My Secret Santathe Viking revenge epic The Northman starring Alexander Skarsgård, Stranded With My Mother-in-Law: Season 3and With Love, Meghan: Holiday Celebration.

On December 4Kurt Sutter’s new series The Abandons premieres, featuring Lena Headey, Gillian Anderson, and Lucas Till. Mean Girls (2004) and Forrest Gump also land on the service.


December 5 introduces Noah Baumbach’s Jay Kellystarring Adam Sandler, accompanied by a making-of documentary. Netflix also drops a documentary marking 100 years of The New Yorker and the Netflix Africa rom-com Love and Wine. Damien Chazelle’s Babylon arrives on December 7alongside Tom Hanks’ survival classic Cast Away and the family special Elmo and Mark Rober’s Merry Giftmas. On December 9Netflix brings back all seven seasons of The West Winglaunches the Japanese dating series Badly in Loveand releases the uplifting documentary Cooking Kids. Blood Coast: Season 2 also premieres.

December 10 adds The Accident: Season 2, Record of Ragnarok: Season 3and Simon Cowell’s talent-focused series The Next Act.

On December 11fans get Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft: Season 2, The Fakenapping, Man Vs Babyand Part 2 of the Korean thriller Had I Not Seen the Sun.

Rian Johnson’s third Knives Out film, Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mysteryarrives on December 12followed by The Amazing Digital Circus: Season 1 (Episodes 5–7) and City of Shadows. The Talented Mr. Ripley drops on December 13.

December 14 features the animated hit PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie (2024).

A festive wave arrives on December 15 with A Cowboy Christmas Romance, Christmas at the Chalet, The Christmas Classic, Christmas on the Alpaca Farmand The Creature Cases: Chapter 6.

On December 16both seasons of Stephen King–inspired Castle Rock join Netflix, along with Culinary Class Wars: Season 2.

December 17 features the crime documentary Murder in Monaco and the new game show What’s In The Box? hosted by Neil Patrick Harris.

Emily in Paris: Season 5 drops in full on December 18alongside Japanese dance drama 10DANCE.

A major sporting event — Jake vs. Joshua: Judgment Day — streams live on December 19paired with the sci-fi film The Great Flood.

On December 22Netflix releases The Closer: Seasons 1–7the Italian series Sicily Expressand a documentary on NFL legend John Elway.

December 23 brings Ron Howard’s historical drama Eden and King of Collectibles: The Goldin Touch: Season 3.

Christmas Eve (December 24) includes Downton Abbey: A New Erathe drama Goodbye Juneand Tom Segura: Teacher.

Netflix celebrates Christmas Day (December 25) with two holiday gameday matches and the release of Stranger Things 5: Volume 2.

On December 26the investigative documentary Cover-Upcentered on reporter Seymour Hersh, premieres.

The reality series Members Only: Palm Beach arrives on December 29.

December 30 features Evil Influencer: The Jodi Hildebrandt Story and Ricky Gervais’ new special Mortality.

The month wraps up on December 31 with Sleeping With Other People and the grand finale Stranger Things 5: The Finalepremiering at 8 pm ET to ring in the New Year.
