The first time Morrissey canceled a concert in Mexico was in 2013, when he did not appear at the Vive Latino Festival due to pneumonia; In 2023, he again canceled a presentation at the Palacio de los Deportes due to dengue, and in 2024, when he postponed his shows due to exhaustion.
The announcement of the cancellation of the British singer’s performances caused social networks to be flooded with memes to mock the artist, as well as complaints from the Mexican public who were waiting to see him on stage.
Some Internet users ironicized about the situation saying that the singer “was too lazy” to get up to attend his presentations, while others were little surprised by the announcement, since this type of situation is common for the musician.
