After the escape of at least eight municipal police officers from Ario de Rosales, the Michoacán Prosecutor’s Office reported that the element Víctor Hugo “N” was arrested and that eight arrest warrants remain in force.
Mexico City, November 28 (However).- The State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) of Michoacan carried out a surprise operation on Friday in the municipality of Ario de Rosaleswhich led to the flight of at least eight municipal police officers. However, one of the elements was later arrested for his alleged participation in the crimes of femicide, attempted homicide and aggravated kidnapping.
Through a statement, the Michoacán Prosecutor’s Office reported that it completed an arrest warrant against Victor Hugo “N“, element of the municipal police of Ario, for the crimes mentioned above to the detriment of four people in the municipality of Salvador Escalante.
The authorities specified that according to the test data, on October 4, five units of the Municipal Police of Ario were traveling in the direction of Santa Clara del Cobre towards Zirahuén, and when traveling along Lázaro Cárdenas Street they encountered the victims who were traveling in a Cadillac Escalade truck.

The agents stopped the unit under the argument of carrying out a supposed routine inspection and asked the occupants to get out of the vehicle. The co-pilot heeded the indication, while the driver, Gabriela Andrea F., started the unit. Given this, the municipal police opened fire on the truck, causing the unit to leave the road and its passengers to be injured.
Subsequently, municipal elements approached the vehicle along with another person traveling in a double cabin truck, who allegedly shot Gabriela Andrea F., depriving her of her life at the scene. For his part, one of the woman’s three companions was deprived of his freedom, beaten and tortured by the municipal police, who released him until the next day.
The case was investigated by the Special Prosecutor’s Office for Femicide, which gathered compelling evidence about the possible participation of Víctor Hugo “N”. Based on this, a Control Judge issued the arrest warrant that was already completed, so the public servant was admitted to the High Impact Penitentiary Center and placed at the disposal of the jurisdictional body that will resolve his legal situation.
As for the other elements of the Municipal Police, the FGE reported that operational actions are maintained to complete eight current arrest warrants, against the same number of people, allegedly involved in these crimes.
It should be noted that after the assassination of the Mayor of Uruapan, Carlos Manzo, on November 1, the Government of Mexico implemented a security plan that consisted of the deployment of more than 10,500 soldiers in Michoacán. Since then, federal authorities have arrested 134 people, in addition to having seized 57 weapons and thousands of chemical precursors used for synthetic drug factories.
