Mexico City, November 26 (However).- The President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo celebrated this Wednesday that the mobilization on the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women has been carried out without violence and with white balance.
“I believe that there is a recognition that there is a Government that is working for women and as we saw yesterday, it is an issue where there are no differences, we work together with all the state governments, and our commitment to continue working on the eradication of violence against women, and it is good that it was peaceful, that there were no problems,” acknowledged the federal president in her morning conference.
Yesterday, groups of search mothers and various feminist groups concluded a march in the capital’s Zócalo within the framework of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.
According to the Government of Mexico City, through the Secretariat of Government of Mexico City (Secgob), in collaboration with the Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC-CdMx), reported that the contingent that left from various points in the center of the capital towards the Zócalo had an influx of one thousand people and ended with a white balance.

The mobilization started from the Glorieta de las Mujeres que Luchan and advanced along Paseo de la Reforma, Juárez Avenue and 5 de Mayo, until arriving at the main square of Mexico City, where they were accompanied and protected at all times by women from the capital’s Secretariat of Citizen Security.
During their journey, the protesters demanded justice for victims of feminicide, cases of vicarious violence and other crimes related to gender violence, reiterating the urgency for the authorities to address these complaints and guarantee the right of women to live without violence.
To guarantee the safety of the protesters and other users of public roads, as well as the commercial establishments, their staff and their clients, the SSC-CdMx indicated that it deployed a protection and containment operation with 600 police women who provided accompaniment from a distance and wore their personal protective equipment. In addition, police officers from the Undersecretary of Traffic Control carried out closures and detours to vehicular circulation during the passage of the contingents on the affected roads.
To accompany the mobilization, the Dialogue and Coexistence Group was formed, made up of public servants from the Undersecretariat for Political Coordination, Prevention and Good Government (SCPPyBG), the General Directorate of Government (DGG), the Executing Body of the Comprehensive Human Rights System (IESIDH), the Executive Secretariat of the Unit for Attention to Sexual Diversity (SEUNADIS), the Mechanism for the Comprehensive Protection of Defenders of Human Rights and Journalists (MPI), the Executive Commission for Attention to Victims (CEAVI) and the Women’s Secretariat (SEMUJERES).
“The march was also attended by personnel from the Secretariat of Works and Services (SOBSE), the Secretariat of Comprehensive Risk Management and Civil Protection (SGIRPC) and the Human Rights Commission of Mexico City (CDHCM),” explained the capital’s Government.
“During the tour, a group of approximately 20 women with their faces covered, marched calmly without registering incidents or major damage to the pace of the mobilization,” concluded the capital’s Government Secretariat.
