CHILPANCINGO.- Kimberly Marisol Sánchez Merino, 14 years oldwas found lifeless, after 28 days missing. On Friday she was identified by her mother on a Forensic Medical Service sheet (Semefo).
On November 1, Kimberly was last seen in front of the Municipal Police headquarters, on the old highway to Tixtla. The minor left her grandmother’s house in the neighborhood CNOP to go see his dad, in the colony Freedom and Earth.
According to the report, Kimberly spent some time with her father, received some money and left to return to the CNOP. However, the minor no longer arrived at her grandmother’s house, so after several unanswered calls, her mother and brother immediately went to the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) to report his disappearance.
Late Amber Alert for Kimberly Marisol
The Prosecutor’s Office took 24 hours to launch the Amber Alert and activate the search and location protocols for the minor. The Kimberly’s mother reported that despite the complaint and the activation of the alert, The FGE did not initiate any search operation.
Those who looked for her, as is almost always the case, were her relatives. Kimberly’s mother assured that she gave the Prosecutor’s Office information on the people who disappeared her daughter, but regretted that they have not been arrested.
He also demanded that the prosecution review the surveillance cameras that are outside the Municipal Police headquarters. In the cameras, the mother explained, the moment in which they took her could have been recorded, as well as the direction and also knowing if they forced her to get into a vehicle.
On November 23, Kimberly’s mother received a call, it was an agent from the prosecutor’s office. He asked him to move to the Semefo facility. In the morning they had found the body of a woman in a state of decomposition in the place called the Huiteco Hillon the road Chilpancingo-Tixtla, 30 minutes from the capital.
When she went to see the body that was in Semefo, Kimberly’s mother knew it was her, but due to the state of decomposition of the body she decided to extend her hope: she would not consider her daughter dead without having scientific certainty, she waited until the DNA test was ready.
However, there were irrefutable elements: the body had the same blue jeans, the same tennis shoes with which he left his grandmother’s house on November 1.
On Friday, November 28, Kimberly’s mother received another call, again from a prosecutor’s office: the DNA test was positive, that decomposing corpse was Kimberly’s.
