MÉRIDA.- In support of the commercial sector and to boost the local economy during one of the most important weekends of the year, Governor Joaquín Díaz Mena made the first purchase of Good End 2025 in a store of Yucatecan origin located in Gran Plaza, one of the centers most representative commercials of Mérida with more than 30 years of history.
51 thousand companies will participate
The governor explained that during this weekend of sales and offers more than 51 thousand companies in the Yucatecan commercial sector participate.
From small businesses to consolidated companies that form an essential part of the economy and sustain the income of thousands of families.
“Trade generates employment for more than 229 thousand peoplewhich represents almost a fifth of the employed population in the state.”
“That is why it is so important to accompany them in this beginning, because behind each open store there are families who depend on these days to work well and that consumption move with order, security and fair prices”, he expressed.
Government highlights advance of the bonus
Díaz Mena added that the State government joins the Buen Fin by advancing the 25% of the bonus to the workers of the Executive.
Likewise, he recalled that during these days discounts will be applied, in some cases up to 100%, on fines, surcharges and payments for procedures and services in agencies such as the State Housing Institute and the Drinking Water and Sewerage Boardamong others.

Díaz Mena recognizes participation of institutions
Likewise, the governor recognized the joint work with the Federal Consumer Protection Agency (Profeco); the National Commission for the Protection y Defense of Users of Financial Services (Condusef).
Also the Tax Administration Service (SAT); the Secretariat of Public Security (SSP) and the administration of Gran Plaza.
These institutions participated in this operation to guarantee a safe experience for thousands of buyers.
For his part, the president of the National Chamber of Commerce, Services and Tourism of MéridaJosé Enrique Molina Casares, thanked the governor for his presence at this start.
He highlighted that the Buen Fin turns 15 years old taking place in Yucatán and represents a key date for the sector.
“This year we will do it for five days. We start today and will end on November 17. The approximate economic impact will be 8.6 billion pesos, generated by more than 15 thousand companies throughout the state,” he explained.
