Workers of the Drinking Water Board and Alcantarillado de Yucatán (Japay) were involved in a traffic accident this Friday in the Miraflores neighborhoodin the east of Mérida.
According to information obtained at the scene, the workers were in a Ranger truck on 8th Street in the Cortés Sarmiento neighborhood, until they reached the intersection with 65th Street.
“Well, I blew my top”said one man, who couldn’t say more because an insurance adjuster called him to check the vehicle.

When the truck entered the intersection, the Versa car authorized as a taxi crashed on one of its sides, whose driver was unable to brake to avoid the collision.
Los damages were extensive. The accident left no people injured, although paramedics from the Ministry of Public Security (SSP) did arrive to evaluate the taxi driver who suffered some blows, none of them serious.
Police from the Eastern Sector of the SSP became aware of the accident and later a traffic expert arrived, who made sure that the parties reached an agreement to repair the damage.
The SSP also learned of an accident that occurred on 66th Street and 97-B in the Manzana 115 subdivision.
In the place it turned out a motorcyclist injuredwho did not have to be transferred to a hospital, so he remained at the scene to reach an agreement with the driver of a car.
