The Israel Defense Forces noted that the buildings served as “terrorist infrastructure,” while Beirut and the United Nations condemned the operation.
MADRID, Nov. 11 (EUROPA PRESS).- The army of Israel announced this Tuesday the destruction of several buildings supposedly used by the Shiite party-militia Hezbollah during a new raid on the town of Hulalocated in the south of Lebanondespite the ceasefire agreed at the end of November 2024, after nearly thirteen months of fighting.
“The forces of the 769th Brigade During the night, several buildings used as terrorist infrastructure were destroyed in the town of Hula“, he indicated, before stating that the military had already launched a similar operation in the area a month earlier to “neutralize old weapons and explosives stored in these buildings.”

Likewise, he stressed that “the existence of these infrastructures represented a violation of the agreement between Israel and Lebanon”, in reference to the aforementioned ceasefire, before emphasizing that “the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) would continue to act to eliminate any threat to the territory of the State of Israel.”
Israel launched dozens of bombings against Lebanon despite the ceasefire of November 2024, arguing that it was acting against Hezbollah activities and ensuring that, therefore, it did not violate the pact, although both Beirut and the group were critical of these actions, also condemned by the United Nations.

The ceasefire, reached after months of fighting following the attacks of October 7, 2023, contemplated that both Israel and Hezbollah had to withdraw their troops from southern Lebanon.
However, the Israeli army maintained five posts in the territory of its neighboring country, something also criticized by the Lebanese authorities and the Shiite group, which demanded an end to this deployment.
