Mexico City, November 23 (However).- In the midst of the controversy generated by a wave of right-wing figures who have demonstrated in favor of the intervention of the army of States Joined in Mexico to combat organized crime, Chairwoman Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo He stressed this Sunday that “he who seeks foreign support does not succeed when he does not have internal support.”

The president recalled that “there have been many moments in history marked by unpatriotic conservatives who have promoted foreign invasion,” this during her speech uttered during an event in Veracruzon the occasion of the commemoration of Bicentennial of the Consolidation of Independence at Sea.

As part of her message, the Chief Executive listed different historical episodes in which there is a record of the participation of conservative figures who promoted the intervention of other nations to govern the country, for example: the French Invasion in 1862 or the incursion of the US army during the Mexican Revolution.

President Sheinbaum highlighted that, although conservatives have promoted foreign invasion on several occasions, liberals have always managed to triumph in preventing any government of another nation from intervening in domestic politics.

“History shows us that he who calls for violence as an instrument of pressure or who believes that a few people silence the joy of a people does not triumph. The use of force to put an end to reason does not triumph, nor does he triumph who defends old privileges in the face of transformation. He who seeks foreign support when he does not have internal support does not triumph,” he expressed.

He added that the people of Mexico must always be alert to defend justice and avoid any attempt at foreign interference that is supported by conservative groups.
