Mexico City, November 10 (However).- Omar García Harfuchholder of the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC)reported this Monday that Abdel “N”, alias “The Bull”and Miguel Ángel “N”, alias “The Little Bull”alleged members of the criminal cell known as “The Russians”were arrested in San Luis Rio Colorado, Sonora.

Through his X account, formerly Twitter, he detailed that the arrests were made during two searches led by elements of the SSPCof the Secretary of National Defense (Defense)of the Secretary of the Navy (Semar)of the Attorney General’s Office (FGR)of the National Guard (GN) and of the State Attorney General’s Office (FGJE) of Sonora.

“Abdel ‘N’ is related to the trafficking of methamphetamine and other drugs, as well as firearms. In addition, he has a history of homicide and injuries. We thank @gobiernosonora for its permanent support for these operations,” García Harfuch wrote.

Later, in a joint statementthe authorities explained that the two search warrants were executed “as part of the investigation and intelligence work being carried out in the state of Sonora to arrest generators of violence.”

In this way, they arrested two alleged members of a criminal cell related to the trafficking of weapons, drugs, cartridges and currency to the United States (EU).

To reach this result, security institutions undertook investigative work on a criminal structure. From them, they identified the addresses of two individuals identified as members of a criminal group, who would be dedicated to trafficking methamphetamine, crystal, heroin, cocaine, weapons and cartridges in San Luis Río Colorado.

Given this situation, fixed, mobile and discreet surveillance was implemented, with which sufficient evidence was collected and a Control Judge granted the orders to intervene in the properties.

“Thus, a simultaneous operation was deployed in the homes located in the Reforma and Jalisco neighborhoods, where Abdel ‘N’, 63 years old, and Miguel Ángel ‘N, 32 years old, were arrested; doses of fentanyl, cocaine, crystal, methamphetamines, useful cartridges, cash, a firearm and three vehicles were seized,” the authorities stated.



According to what was stated in the report of the facts, “the detainees were informed of the reason for their detention, their legal rights were read to them and, together with what was secured, they were placed at the disposal of the corresponding Public Ministry agent, who will define their legal situation; meanwhile, the homes were sealed and under the custody of the authorities.”

“El Toro” has a criminal record for intentional simple homicide and injuries. “In addition, the two detainees are members of a criminal cell of a criminal group,” the bulletin reads.

With these actions, the institutions of the Security Cabinet reaffirmed their commitment to work in a coordinated manner to arrest people who harm society.
