In a press conference, Harfuch announced that the identification of Jorge Armando “N” was achieved through the analysis of various materials that were obtained as part of the investigative work that has been undertaken by state and federal authorities, in which technological tools have been used that made it possible to accurately reconstruct the sequence of events, as well as the participation of each person involved.

In addition to “The Licensed” it was also possible to identify “two subjects who, hours before the attack, accompanied the aggressor Víctor Manuel “N”, who was neutralized when committing the homicide,” indicated the head of the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC).

The people in question, Harfuch revealed, were identified as Fernando Josué “N” and Ramiro “N”, who were found dead on November 10 on the Uruapan-Paracho highway. Their telephone equipment was located a day later and, upon analysis, it was discovered that Ramiro “N” was part of a chat in which the attack against Manzo was coordinated.

“Likewise, it was identified that a subject nicknamed “The Graduate” occupied the command role as he was the one who issued the instructions to carry out the execution,” explained the Secretary of Security, adding that “derived from the analysis of the conversations and the intelligence work, they allowed the trail of the person involved to be followed,” which led to his subsequent capture.

Omar García Harfuch emphasized in the press conference that the arrest represents a key step in the dismantling of the criminal structure responsible for the murder of the former mayor of Uruapan.

Likewise, he affirmed that the Government of Mexico maintains its firm commitment to guarantee the administration of justice and security in Michoacán.

“The investigations continue until each of those involved is arrested and these criminal networks that commit homicides, extortion, that use young people and generate violence in the region are completely dismantled,” he emphasized.
