Mexico City, November 24 (However).- In response to the controversy generated after the singer Fidel Rueda projected in a concert a video generated with Intelligence Artificial (IA) in which appears the Chairwoman when was it harassed for a man, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo (CSP) spoke out against harassment and the dissemination of images of women without their consent, while promising to change the laws so that “there is no impunity.”
The scandal arose after, during a presentation by the artist in the municipality of Jiquilpan, Michoacana recording made by IA in which he appeared federal representative dancing with the man who harassed her in the streets of the Historic Center of Mexico City (CdMx).
When questioned about this during her morning conference, the Chief Executive expressed her rejection of harassment against women and the dissemination of images without their consent, in addition to expressing that she and her Government will always provide support to those who are victims of this type of situation.
“No to abuse, no to harassment, no to the publication of [imágenes alteradas] of any woman. “Women in Mexico are not alone, their President and the Government are with her,” said Sheinbaum.
Furthermore, the President assured that her Administration will seek to change the law so that this type of behavior is sanctioned to “guarantee that there is no impunity.”
Finally, she stressed that what is truly important about the controversy over the video shown at Fidel Rueda’s concert is that awareness must be raised regarding the fact that many women continue to be victims of harassment or abuse in Mexico.
“Beyond this episode, the issue is the underlying issue, that many women continue to experience harassment and abuse in our country, and that is wrong, so there has to be a very large awareness-raising process and at the same time the sanction,” she stressed.

Fidel Rueda apologizes for AI-generated video of the President
As a result of the controversy generated by the screening of a video made with AI in which President Sheinbaum appears dancing with the man who harassed her, singer Fidel Rueda offered a public apology to the president and assured that the material was transmitted without her consent.
Days after his presentation, the artist shared a video on his social media accounts to clarify what happened and apologize to the Chief Executive.
“A visual was projected by the production without my consent, without my authorization. I want to take this opportunity to offer a public apology to our Lady President Claudia, since she deserves all my respect for the simple fact of being a woman and for her presidential investiture,” declared the singer.
Fidel Rueda concluded his message by assuring that at no time was it his intention to offend anyone, in particular President Sheinbaum.
