Sheinbaum reprueba que Diputado de la Cdmx del PAN pida intervención extranjera

From the National Palace, President Claudia Sheinbaum questioned that a PAN Representative wants to travel to Washington to sue the Government of Mexico for alleged authoritarianism.

Mexico City, November 26 (However).- The President of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo (CSP)disapproved this Wednesday that a Representative of the National Action Party (PAN), intends to denounce his Government in Washington, United States, for allegedly covering up drug trafficking and exercising authoritarianism.

“A PAN member, promoted by the PAN, is going to go to Washington to denounce the Government […] What Mexican is going to denounce another country, Washington in particular? […] What do you think of a leader of a legislator from an opposition party, who almost no longer has popular support in Mexico and who goes abroad to the United States, to Washington, to denounce the Mexican Government? What do you think?” he asked in his morning conference.

The Head of the federal Executive reiterated that her Government is not authoritarian and that the opposition has been able to demonstrate and show its disagreement with the Fourth Transformation (T4) freely.

“They have a channel where they have the space open, they don’t have the media closed, right? On the contrary: they have more space in the media than us and they go to Washington to make a complaint,” he commented from the National Palace, and recalled his speech on November 20, when he spoke about those who call for foreign interference in Mexico and how “it is not something new but they are the usual conservatives.

“What do the people think that a leader of a party, which is now called far-right, goes to the United States to make a public complaint? Do they have the media closed here or what? They are popular representatives, why doesn’t he do it here? Why does he go to the United States? It’s for the people, because we must always, always, always remember, now, who is who in politics and who are the ones demanding foreign intervention,” he added.

Sheinbaum’s statements come after Raúl Torres, a PAN-affiliated migrant representative in the Congress of Mexico City, called on the platform for the intervention of the United States to stop what he calls a “narco-state,” and affirmed that President Trump is his best ally.

“Unfortunately, the López Obrador regime left a narco-state,” said the PAN Congressman in the Chilango Congress and then spoke in English and asked the European Parliament and the US Congress to raise their voices about what is happening in Mexico.

He ended his participation on the platform dancing like Trump and taking out a sign that said Make Mexico Safe Again, in Spanish “Let’s Make Mexico Safe Again” in obvious allusion to Trump’s campaign message, Make America Great Again (MAGA), in Spanish “Let’s Make the United States Great Again.”

The blue and white legislator explained to The Opinion that asks for the intervention of the United States government because it is the only one that Morena is afraid of and has revealed the links of the 4T with organized crime.

When asked how it is possible to ask for the intervention of a government like that of President Trump, who has been the violator of the human rights of migrants in the United States, he said that “that is one thing and that they raise their voices is another.”
