Mexico City, November 2 (However).- The Mobility Secretariat (Semovi) of the Mexico City (CdMx) revealed this Sunday what were the conditions to which the drivers of public transport to approve the increment of 1.50 pesos in the rate.

According to the official, to determine how much the increase in the public transportation rate in the capital would be, different factors were taken into account, such as the increase in fuel prices and inflation.
“This adjustment was made with strict responsibility and social sensitivity, trying to affect families’ finances as little as possible,” said the capital’s Secretary of Mobility.
What conditions did the drivers accept to increase the transportation rate in CdMx?
In a press conference, the head of Semovi announced that the drivers of concessioned public transportation agreed to comply with a series of conditions that have the purpose of improving the quality of the service, in exchange for the CdMx Government approving the increase of 1.50 pesos to the fare.
The rules that drivers must comply with are the following:
- They can only provide the service on routes authorized by Semovi in CdMx.
- Respect exclusive lanes and corridors, so they will be prohibited from traveling in the exclusive lane for Metrobús and Trolleybus.
- Respect speed limits at all times.
- The new official rate must be published in each of the units.
- It is strictly prohibited for operators to consume alcoholic beverages or narcotics before and during working hours.
- Drivers are prohibited from using cell phones while driving, including hands-free.

- Drivers must wear the complete uniform: dark pants and white shirt, always maintaining high standards in their personal hygiene and cleanliness of the unit.
- They will not be able to listen to music at very high volume, which could disturb passengers.
- Comply with the established stops for boarding and disembarking passengers.
- It is prohibited to base in non-designated places.
- Drivers must drive safely and respectfully, avoiding attacking other drivers or operators of different routes.
