MÉRIDA.- “Are they going to vamp you?” a woman asked her neighbor while they were in line heading to the laboratory to take organic samples. “Yes, they are going to draw my blood,” he responded immediately.

Fear is common when going to this type of study. However, the surprise came minutes later, when those in charge of drawing blood appeared at the doors of their cubicles. with costumes alluding to the Days of the Dead.

Some attendees welcomed the clothing; others, however, made critical comments.

“Door four, the next one…” was heard as the attention progressed.

It was Friday morning at IMSS clinic 52, located at the confluence of streets 59 and 64 in the Center of Mérida. Those in charge of taking the samples did not wear costumes; only some laboratory assistants and control cubicle personnel wore “witch” hats.

With the exception of the laboratory, the other employees went to work wearing normal clothing (Megamedia).
