The Office of the Attorney General of the Republic (FGR), through its Specialized Regional Control Prosecutor’s Office (Fecor) in the state of Yucatán, obtained from the Control Judge specialized in the Accusatory Criminal System, an order of connection to proceedings against Geovani “N” and Elvira “N”, for a crime against health in the form of possession for the purposes of commerce of methamphetamine and cannabis sativa l. (marijuana), reports a bulletin.
The investigation file began with an anonymous complaint, in which it was reported that drugs were being sold on a black-site property, located in the municipality of Kanasín, Yucatán.
In order to corroborate the information and after carrying out the necessary procedures, the agent of the Federal Public Ministry requested and obtained a search warrant from the judicial authority.
Drug seizure
During the operation, elements of the Federal Ministerial Police caught the now accused in flagrante delicto and seized 61 grams 600 milligrams of methamphetamine, 175 grams 300 milligrams of marijuana, a metal grinder and two grame scales.
In addition, two electronic tablets, five cell phones, a glass pipe and a metal pipe, packages of bags, and paper for manufacturing cigarettes were seized as evidence of the crime.
The federal judge described the detention as legal, linked the accused to proceedings, imposed a precautionary measure of informal preventive detention and set a period of three months for the complementary investigation.
