Mexico City begins the festivities and celebrations for Day of the Dead and Halloween with one of its most anticipated events of the year: the Zombie March 2025. This family event aims to promote tolerance and the dissemination of Alternative Culture, and will take place this Saturday, October 18.
If you are interested in being part of the mysticism that surrounds this event, the organizers have established some essential requirements that you should know.
- Mandatory costume: Only people who come dressed in costume according to the theme will be able to march.
- Make a social donation: To participate, it is necessary to bring a donation of non-perishable food. This will be delivered to the Food Bank “United We Distribute and Transform 123 IAP”.
Route and concentration of the contingent
The event is in front of the Monument to the Revolution starting at 10:00 a.m., however, the march is scheduled to leave for the capital’s Zócalo starting at 4:00 p.m.
It has been warned that, due to the passage of the contingent, several main roads will remain closed, so it is recommended to travel through alternate routes to avoid delays in your weekend routine.
- The streets that will remain closed will be: Paseo de la Reforma, Avenida Juárez and Avenida 5 de Mayo.
- Some alternate routes to consider are: José María Izazaga, Dr. Río de la Loza, Fray Servando T. De Mier, Eje 1 Norte, Eje 1 Oriente, Avenida de los Insurgentes and Avenida Chapultepec.
