He Traffic Regulations of the State of Mexico establishes a total of 14 violations for motorcycle drivers. Of them, seven can lead to the retention of the vehicleand only female traffic officers are authorized to apply these sanctions.
Among the faults that may cause the removal of the motorcycle are the following situations:
Not wearing a helmet or protective glasses, whether by the driver or passenger. In addition to the retention, this violation includes a fine of between 3 and 5 UMA’s.

By transport girls, boys or adolescents who cannot hold themselvessit correctly or place your feet firmly on the footrests. And the economic sanction ranges from 16, 18 and 20 UMA’s.
The Mexican Regulation establishes that it will be motorcycle impounded of anyone who drives on public roads with a quantity of alcohol greater than permitted or under the influence of intoxicantsnarcotics or psychotropic or toxic substances, as well as their respective monetary penalty of 16, 18 or 20 UMA’s.
The motorcycle will also be seized by parking on sidewalks, medians, walkways and other roads reserved for pedestrians added to the economic fine of 16, 18 or 20 UMA’s.
Y if they do not have a permit to circulate, without a license plate and registration card or if it has expiredthe motorcycle will be retained and the penalty of 16, 18 or 20 UMA’s is added.
Those who travel on lanes confined to public passenger transportation Likewise, they will be subject to the vehicle retention penalty plus the 16, 18 or 20 UMA’s.
What violations do not warrant motorcycle retention?
The document published yesterday in the Government Gazette of the State of Mexico includes violations against motorcyclists that do not merit retention of the unitamong which are:
Failure to take the corresponding lane in a timely manner when turning left or right, the amount of which is 3, 4 and 5 UMA’s.
Walking on sidewalks and areas reserved for pedestriansthe fine will be 16, 18 or 20 UMAs.
If more people travel than authorized on the circulation cardthe penalty is 3, 4 or 5 UMA’s, the same case for those who pass a vehicle using the same lane or not by doing so on the left side.
From 3, 4 to 5 A’s will be there penalty for anyone who does not use the lights at night or when there is insufficient visibility during the day; The same units of measurement will apply for grabbing or holding your vehicle to another vehicle traveling on public roads; and travel two or more motorcycles in a parallel position in the same lane.

Other violations for motorcyclists are for not using turn signals or signaling in advance when making a turn; for carrying a load that hinders visibility, balance or proper operation or constitutes a danger to self or other road usersor for not using the correct accessories for this purpose, for which 3, 4 or 5 UMA’s will be applied as a sanction.
And for not driving on the far right side of the road when traveling with another person besides the driver or transporter of cargo.the fine will be 3, 4 or 5 UMA’s; while the penalty is increased to 16, 18 or 20 UMA’S for transporting a passenger between the driver and the handlebars.
