The Tunisian U-17 national team began its World Cup campaign in Qatar with a 6-0 victory over Fiji on Monday.
The Carthage Eagles took the lead with two goals in the first half, scored by Wassim Salama, the Paris Saint-Germain player, and Fadi Tayashi, the Club Africain player, in the 30th and 36th minutes.

In the second half, Wassim Salama and Al-Tayashi scored the third and sixth goals in the 53rd and 88th minutes. Anis Al-Saeedi and Saif Al-Din Haj Abdullah also added the fourth and fifth goals in the 74th and 80th minutes.

With this landslide victory, Tunisia leads Group D on goal difference over Argentina, which beat Belgium 3-2 earlier on Monday.
In the second round, Tunisia will meet Argentina in a deciding match for the top spot and qualification for the round of 16, while Fiji will play against Belgium.
Morocco loses to Japan
The Moroccan national team was defeated by its Japanese counterpart 2-0, in the first round of the second group.
The Japanese national team scored its first goal in the 57th minute through Taiga Saguchi, then added the second goal in the eighth minute of stoppage time in the second half through Daigo Harishima.
The Moroccan national team will meet next Thursday in the second round with its Portuguese counterpart, who achieved a landslide victory over New Caledonia with a score of 6-1.
With this victory, Portugal leads Group B with three points, ahead of Japan on goal difference.
Italy wins over Qatar
The Qatari national team lost its first match to its Italian counterpart with an unanswered goal in the first round of the first group competitions.
Samuel Inacio scored the only goal in the 19th minute of the match held at the Aspire Academy stadiums.

With this victory, Italy is equal on 3 points with South Africa, which leads the group on goal difference after its 3-1 victory over Bolivia.
In the second round, which will be held next Thursday, the Qatar national team will play against South Africa, and Italy against Bolivia.
The UAE tied with Costa Rica
The UAE national team tied with its Costa Rican counterpart 1-1, in the first round of the third group of the tournament.
The group also includes Senegal and Croatia, who tied 0-0.
The second round of the group will be held next Thursday, where the UAE team will play its Croatian counterpart, while the Costa Rican team will face its Senegalese counterpart.
The Junior World Cup will be held for the first time with the participation of 48 teams divided into 12 groups, with the top two teams in each group qualifying directly to the round of 32, in addition to the eight best third-place teams.
