In the midst of the celebration for the anniversary of the Mexican Revolution, the protesters gathered at the Angel of Independence towards the capital’s Zócalo

Mexico City.- Although members of the call Generation Z They marched on Paseo de la Reforma to head towards the capital’s Zócalo, the influx of participants was small compared to what was recorded on November 15. Police elements blocked the passage towards the Historic Center on a couple of occasions.
The protesters gathered before 11 in the morning in the vicinity of the Angel of Independence. However, the attendance of participants who attended the protest was visibly lower than what was recorded in the first march, held on November 15.
Despite the low quorum, attendees began the mobilization with slogans such as: “my voice is not disorder, it is right” or “Morena out.” The contingent was stopped by a group of police officers – on one side of the Glorieta de las Mujeres que Luchan – at approximately 1:30 pm, the uniformed officers broke the fence and allowed the march to advance.
The group of protesters resumed the march along Avenida Juárez, to later enter the Plinth.
Even some businesses that had previously closed their curtains resumed their activities after noticing the low number of attendees. However, another group of police With riot shields they were placed on 5 de Mayo, one street from the Zócalo plateau.
Faced with the voluminous police force that prevented the arrival of the “Generation Z” to the Zócalo, the protesters began to disperse and leave the Historic Center at approximately 3 pm. Finally, a new call for a third mobilization began to circulate on social networks, which would be next Sunday, December 14.
