The National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and the Workers Union of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (stun) they agreed to a salary increase 4% directeffective from November 1, 2025 to October 31, 2026.
The Administrative Secretary of the UNAM, Tomás Humberto Rubio Pérez and the Secretary General of the STUNAM Executive Committee attended the signing of the document that endorses said increase and close the door to work stoppage that the staff put on the table.
They also attended the event Alfredo Domínguez Marrufo, general director of the Federal Center for Conciliation and Labor Registration; Francisco Luis Saénz García, head of the General Coordination of Collective Conciliation; and Ana Laura Menchaca Guerra, director of Collective Conciliation of the Government of Mexico.

This agreement of salary increase for UNAM workers It occurs in the midst of protests by workers at the National University for the case of the Cruz Azul fan who died after a game at the University Stadium, allegedly at the hands of a university security worker.
Likewise, it coincides with the security crisis that various campuses and faculties of the UNAM experience, in terms of security, after the death threats against staff and students, as well as bomb threats within University City.
