Twitch, the popular streaming platform, unveiled a series of innovations designed to revolutionize the streaming experience at TwitchCon 2025 in Las Vegas. The focus is on dual-format streaming, which allows streamers to broadcast in vertical and horizontal formats simultaneously. This function was already tested in August and will now be rolled out across the board to optimally serve both laptop and smartphone users.
Another important step is the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into the platform. Twitch has partnered with Meta to use AI Goggles, allowing streamers to go live directly from the goggles. This technology is complemented by automatic AI-generated clips, making it easier for viewers to catch up on missed highlights.
Twitch’s new sponsorship tools are designed to help streamers increase their revenue. Launched five months ago, these tools have helped mid-sized streamers increase their gifting revenue by up to 45 percent. Now Twitch plans to expand these sponsorship opportunities to all monetizing streamers, including affiliates.
In addition to these technical innovations, Twitch has also revised its community guidelines and expanded the Creator Clubs program. New roles such as lead moderator and agent roles are intended to make stream administration and management easier.
