Protesters took over this Sunday, around 9:00 a.m., the Puebla-Atlixco toll booth and blocked both directions of the highway, to protest the disappearance of the teacher Jessica Portillo Aguilarwho was last seen on last October 23.
The closure was recorded at the height of the 21st century road distributorwhere family, friends and residents placed cardboard and blankets with messages demanding the authorities: “We want Jessica alive.”

The teacher, 43 years old and originally from Atlixco, disappeared while returning from Puebla, where she had gone to work; reported her father in an interview, who was in charge of reporting his daughter’s disappearance. “At 6:30 p.m. we located her because I dialed her and she read my messages. Since then, the connection was lost, we can’t find her anymore,” he said.
She emphasized that after they failed to contact her, they went to the Prosecutor’s Office of the state; However, he assured that the investigation has not progressed.

“The fellow teachers were the ones who mobilized, they took on the task of supporting (…) the Prosecutor’s Office has not told us anything, they do not listen to us,” he said.
