“The blockades of roads, railways and customs areas are significantly harming the transportation and delivery of both components and vehicles. This is compromising Mexico’s ability to provide inputs to production plants in the United States, the foreign trade operations of the industry (the country’s main export sector), and the availability of both units and spare parts for the domestic market.”
“We understand the social problems that may give rise to these blockades, but It is crucial to have alternatives so that these episodes do not affect the country’s economy. Therefore, we urge the competent authorities and all those involved to restore normality on the country’s roads and customs, and prevent future similar situations to guarantee the security and free movement of goods and people.”
