Solverde’s five casinos recorded positive results in 2025, even in the year marked by the controversy over the Spinumviva case, in which the prime minister’s family company was a client of the Violas group.

In Espinho, revenues increased by 5.3%, totaling 31.5 million euros. In Chaves, growth was 8.6%, reaching 7 million euros, while the three casinos in the Algarve (Vilamoura, Praia da Rocha and Monte Gordo) had an increase of 2%, totaling 24.8 million euros.

In total, gross revenues from territorial gaming reached 199.65 million euros in the first nine months of the year, a slight decrease of 0.2% compared to the same period in 2024, according to data from the Portuguese Casino Association (APC), cited by Jornal de Negócios.

The main contribution to this drop was from the Estoril casino, which recorded a loss of almost 15% in revenue, falling to just over 33 million euros. The Póvoa de Varzim casino, also part of the Estoril-Sol group, saw its revenues fall 2.3%, to 27 million euros. On the other hand, the Lisbon casino, the largest in the country, earned 53.1 million euros, an increase of 3.6%.

The Figueira da Foz casino, concessioned to Amorim Turismo and the Spanish Cirsa, had revenues of 10.9 million euros until September, representing growth of 9.1%. The Madeira casino, operated by the Pestana group, had revenues of 7 million euros, an increase of 13.7%, while the Troia casino, owned by Oxy Capital, closed the first nine months of the year with 5.2 million euros, a drop of 4.3%.
