This Tuesday, November 4, during “La Mañanera”, President Claudia Sheinbaum He said he will present the Michoacán Plan for Peace and Justicea strategy that seeks to bring a state of security for the Western entity. This proposal will be made jointly by the members of the Security Cabinet and for the communities of Michoacán. This plan arises as a corrective measure after the assassination of Carlos Manzomayor of Uruapan, on November 1.
Sheinbaum recognized that the loss of the mayor hurts, not only his family, but also the people who make up the community in which he governed and the country. The President also addressed some words related to the absence of the former municipal president.
“Michoacán is a state with history, strength and dignity. In recent days, we have seen pain and indignation over the cowardly murder of municipal president Carlos Manzo, of Uruapan. [El edil] He represented those men and women who serve their people with dedication, who believe that politics is to transform, not to destroy.“, said.
Furthermore, the President stressed that the opposition did not really care about the murder of Carlos Manzo, since it was only used as a political tool to detract from the work that her Administration has done.
“We act responsibly, with justice, and with respect for the people, that is why today I announce the Michoacán Plan for Peace and Justice, a comprehensive strategy that is based on a deep conviction that security is not sustained with wars, but with justice, with development and with respect for life. It is not imposed by force, it is built with people, with communities and with the daily work of those who love their land..

“We seek to nourish it from the voices of indigenous peoples, women, young people, municipal and state authorities, victims, families who in the midst of pain continue to believe in justice, like the family of Carlos Manzo.” he explained.
The President said that the Michoacán Plan for Peace and Justice would be made by and for the local communities of the western entity: she said that no It would be done vertically, but rather listening to the needs of each sector of the population. Sheinbaum explained that this strategy would be developed together with the Security Cabinet, made up of General Ricardo Trevilla Trejo, head of the Secretariat of National Defense (Sedena), Admiral Raymundo Pedro Morales Ángeles, head of the Secretary of the Navy (Semar), Alejandro Gertz Manero, head of the Attorney General’s Office (FGR), Omar García Harfuch, head of the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC), Rosa Icela Rodríguez, head of the Ministry of the Interiorand the General Staff Division Hernán Cortés Hernández, head of the National Guard.
The three axes of this strategy will be the following:

- Education and culture for peace
