During La Mañanera del Pueblo this Monday, November 24, the head of the Executive pointed out that all the initiatives approved in Mexico “have been by consensus” with those involved.
“We have not yet presented the initiative. Why? Because we have sought an agreement between the business sector, the businessmen of Mexico and the workers’ representations.
“All labor reforms have been by consensus, all salary increases, the minimum wage, have been by consensus. The PACIC, which we recently signed, is not an imposition of prices on goods, but is an agreement by voluntary consensus that is fulfilled,” stated the president.
The lady also recalled that the reform to outsourcing and the pension reform were also by consensus.
According to Sheinbaumit is being proposed that the reduction of the working day to 40 hours be gradual.
Initiative for a 40-hour work day will be presented in 2025
The president Claudia Sheinbaum estimated that this same 2025 the initiative will be presented to reduce the 40 hour work dayand that it be approved next year.
“We want the agreement to be made public this year,” he said.
