History does not keep anything from anyone and dictators are no less. Almost all tyrants have paid for their outrages, as a historical revulsion from one who should not have come out even like a grain.
Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi was beaten and stoned to death by his own people. The tyrant hid until they found him. He had ordered the killing of thousands of Libyans and they were the ones who finished him off in the end.
In Iraq Saddam Hussein beat, mistreated and decimated Iraqis. He, his family, his friends, his acolytes and the people of his Baath party, lived in all kinds of luxuries while the rest of the population was starving. Saddam Hussein ended up hanged in Abu Ghraib prison. The same one where he ordered the torture and murder of thousands of Iraqis.
They killed Benito Mussolini and his partner Clara Petacci and exposed their bodies in a public square as a mockery of all the excesses they committed.
Something similar happened to Adolf Hitler and his lover Eva Braun. They took their own lives in a cowardly manner when they felt cornered. Hitler killed six million Jews.
Decades have passed, but the atrocities of dictators persist. Sooner or later, everyone pays their debt to history. It doesn’t matter if they belong to the 20th or 21st century: the outcome is always the same. Let those who still believe they are untouchable take it as a warning.
