The graduate was recently appointed Ernestina Godoy as Attorney General of the Republic. I have treated this outstanding professional on two occasions. The first was when he took over CDMX Attorney General’s Office. He was extremely kind; She spoke about her life as a student at the Faculty of Law and told me that, due to scheduling issues, she was not a student of mine, although she did study my books, in particular The Theory of Crime, a fundamental work in legal education. At that meeting I explained a matter to him that he attended to with diligence and an absolute sense of justice. At the end, he made clear his commitment to the correct safeguarding of essential goods, as well as the concern for justice.

The second occasion was when, accompanied by my wife, I went to deal with the infamous accusation that was made against me for sexual harassment. He expressed his regret to me, especially because a matter that had to be resolved at the local level was demanded by Gertz himself to bring it to his sphere of power, with the purpose of fueling his personal vendettas and, even worse, creating illicit acts, as Ms. Godoy herself pointed out in one of her speeches. The falsehood was demonstrated when I was fully exonerated from that perverse accusation. Gertz maintained against me and, most seriously, against my family, one of the most unjust persecutions in history, which began in 2001, which even cost the then Secretary of the Treasury responsibilities. José Francisco Gil Díaz.

Returning to Godoy’s statement, I consider that he will assume the responsible conduct that the country demands. In his protest before the Senate he stated that crimes will not be fabricated, a reference that coincides with what I personally experienced.

Likewise, he assured that there will be no impunity, which raises the hope that Gertz Manero will be tried for the dishonorable, unethical and deeply perverse behavior that he displayed during his tenure as Prosecutor.

Gertz Manero He must answer for his actions, since his criminal conduct cannot go unpunished.
