The official Real Madrid TV channel escalated its attack on Spanish arbitration, this time after its team tied against Girona in the Spanish Football League.
Yesterday, Real Madrid drew 1-1 against its host Girona in the match that took place at Montilivi Stadium for the 14th round of La Liga, a result that caused the royal team to lose the top spot in the standings to its rival Barcelona by one point.

Real Madrid Channel believes that its team was harmed by the decisions of referee Ricardo de Burgos, who officiated the confrontation, most notably the undeserved penalty kick for Brazilian Rodrigo Goes after he was obstructed inside the penalty area by Girona player Joel Roca, it said.
New theft by the CTA. Everything is still in order and they do not allow Real Madrid to win.

The channel launched a harsh attack on De Burgos, saying, “He is one of the referees who has the worst record against Real Madrid,” before expanding its accusation against the referees, saying, “The league is being manipulated. The team now has 4 fewer points because of Negrera’s sons.”
She added, “There is a clear violation by Rodrigo and the VAR did not call the referee. This happened in Vallecas (Raio Vallecano Stadium) and it has now happened in Girona.”
The channel continued, “It happened last year when Real Madrid was ahead of Barcelona by 6 points. This happened in the matches between Espanyol and Osasuna, and this year the matter is repeated.”
She added, “Regardless of the fact that the team is not playing well, the truth is that the referees are obstructing Real Madrid. They make decisions and then disappear, and their president justifies them. Who is the vice president of the federation? Javier Tebas.”
Penalty kick not awarded
In turn, Alvaro de la Lama, the presenter on Real Madrid Channel, focused on the VAR’s lack of interference in Rodrigo’s shot, and asked, “Can I be convinced by any excuse that De Burgos did not see the Girona player collide with Rodrigo’s right shoe?”
Then he answered, “He was in the right place and the mouse shot showed the shot clearly. It was a penalty kick, whether De Burgos wanted it or not. The Girona player meant it or not. It was a clear penalty kick. It was a penalty kick that was not awarded and it changed the fate of the match points without the need for a calculator.”
Controversial shot
In turn, the Spanish newspaper “Marca” indicated that there was another shot that angered Real Madrid, but it passed almost without attention until the end of the match.
Kylian Mbappe called for a foul in the attack that ended moments later with Girona’s first goal. The Frenchman protested a “clear” contact from Alex Moreno, who pushed him and knocked him down with his knee, so that he came into contact with Mbappe’s leg.
Girona’s goal was preceded by this foul on Mbappé, with the addition that it occurred on the line, which meant a penalty should have been awarded.

The newspaper said, “This shot became more controversial because the contact occurred above the penalty area line, which means that if the foul had been counted, it would have been a penalty kick for Real Madrid, and Girona’s goal would have been cancelled.”
Attack on arbitration
For its part, the Spanish newspaper “Sport” commented on Real Madrid’s criticism of the referees, and said that Florentino Perez, president of the Royal Club, preferred to turn a blind eye to the poor performance of the players and the team and attack the refereeing again.
She explained that coach Xabi Alonso’s team is not going well, as evidenced by the fact that it won only one match out of 4 it played in La Liga after the victory in El Clásico over Barcelona, before relinquishing the lead.
Results of Real Madrid’s four league matches after beating Barcelona:
- Real Madrid 4-0 Valencia.
- Rayo Vallecano 0-0 Real Madrid.
- Elche 2-2 Real Madrid.
- Girona 1-1 Real Madrid.
She also pointed out that during the same period – after the victory over Barcelona – Real Madrid won one match (4-3 over Olympiacos) and lost another (0-1 against Liverpool) in the Champions League, in a new indication of the poor results and performance of the Royal Club.
