About the attack that occurred on the eve of Thanksgiving Day, Trump told US troops: “I want to express anguish and horror of our entire nation in the face of yesterday’s terrorist attack in the capital.

Sarah Beckstrom, 20 years old and member of the West Virginia National Guard, “he just left us” and the other soldier “is fighting for his life,” added the Republican, who called the attacker a “wild monster.”

And he added that “Maybe this man was upset because he couldn’t commit crimes,” relating the events to the deployment of the National Guard that he ordered to combat criminals.

White House attacker identified

Authorities identified the attacker as Rahmanullah Lakanwaland 29 year old Afghan who worked with US forces in his country during the war against the Taliban.

Trump called the attack a “act of evil” and charged against the immigrants, whom he painted as a existential threat for the national security of the United States, for which he ordered the suspension of the processing of immigration applications from Afghans.

Later, Joseph Edlowdirector of the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), announced that will review immigration status of each permanent resident or holder of a “green card” of 19 countries.

Afghanistanas well as Cuba, Haiti and Venezuela, are on the list.
